Our Facility

Tri-H offers three arenas for riding. One located indoor and heated during the winter months, and two outdoor to enjoy the Montana summers. All three are legal competition sized dressage arenas. We routinely watered and drag all areans. Indoor arena footing is a sand/geotextile mix, while the outdoor arenas are sand.

There are two main barns that are heated in the winter. Group pasture board available as well. Upper barns, pastures and turnouts have automatic waterers.

Dimensions of the stalls:

12 x 12 (upper barns)

10 x 20 (lower barn)

Group turn out is available at night and during the day. There are 9 dry-lot turn-outs with hay, water, and shelter available. There is also plenty of open space surrounding the facility for farm rides.

Amenities include outdoor and indoor wash racks, laundry room, heated lounge, multiple cross ties and grooming stalls, outdoor round pen, private tack lockers in upper barns with space for saddles, grooming supplies, and bridles. Lower barn has a single spacious tack room.

Overnight stays.

We have stalls reserved for horses traveling. These horses are treated as our own, whether it is just overnight or for a few days to stop and refuel.

The facility is 16 miles off I-90 and 9 miles off Highway 191. Tri-H offers softwood shavings and feed available for purchase upon arrival. We offer a variety of care plans for your horse so you may leave your horse with us for a few days while you and your family go enjoy Yellowstone National Park. Please contact us ahead of time to ensure that stalls are available.

*A Coggins and proof of the flu/rhino vaccination within 6 months are required before arrival.

Feed

We offer both grass hay and alfalfa. Hay is fed periodically throughout the day to ensure proper nutrition. Free-choice hay has been proven to decrease the risk of gastric upset in high performing horses. Horses that are pasture boarded are turned out in non-irrigated grass pastures during the day. Horses in turnout pens do not have access to grazing, but hay is available. We feed Cavalor grain products and have a variety of monthly Cavalor grain packages to choose from. We strive to meet all the nutritional needs your horse may have over the years. Barn manager Kimber works closely with boarders to formulate the best nutrition plan for their horse and monitors weight and health very closely.
